Welcome back everyone! June in London is one of those months that’s filled with a sense of excitement.
June is also the start of summer in London, which means the capital’s beer gardens are at their prime, the city parks are at their prettiest, the open-air theatre season gets into full swing and eating alfresco is on the cards at some of London’s best restaurants. Plus, expect to see long queues in south west London as tennis fans line up to bag a place at the epic Wimbledon championships.
Here are my recommendations of the best things to do in June:
BSH Hyde Park –
It’s been an exciting fixture in London’s musical calendar since 2013, and it’s back with a line-up of some of the biggest stars on the planet. Taking place across weekends in June and July, Hyde Park will host an upmarket festival vibe complete with food, drink and a posh VIP area. The 2023 headliners are shaping up nicely already, with P!nk and, fresh from their headline Glastonbury set, Guns N’ Roses headling in June. While July brings shows from Take That, K-pop stars Blackpink, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Billy Joel and Lana Del Ray.
Hampton Court Palace Festival – until 17th June 2023
This open-air concert series in the lovely Tudor Courtyard of Hampton Court Palace offers a genteel take on the summer festival in June.
Pop down for a picnic by the water and then make your way to your (seated) concert in front of Henry VIII’s iconic palace. If you’re feeling fancy you can even hire a Waterside Gazebo with ten of your mates, or purchase a VIP Concert & Dining package.
So far, line-up includes: Gladys Knight, Soft Cell, Grace Jones, Kool & The Gang, Kaiser Chiefs, Tom Jones, Björn Again and Rick Astley.
Coming soon…Wimbledon 2023
Hope you like this information and see you all very soon!
